Dave Coreson had a fulfilling career at Tektronix. He started his career in 1967 in Beaverton. Later he moved to Wilsonville as the manufacturing manager of the Graphic Terminals Division. He became know as a no nonsense manager who could build high performance teams with his management style and skills. This January 8, 1988 TekWeek features Dave and his people management style.

In the late 1980's, Dave, along with Dave Brown and Dave Cassing, founded the Network Displays Division which operated until its divestiture in 1999. In the mid 1990's, Dave took a role in materials management at the corporate level and then became the Vice President of Operations for Tektronix. He was promoted to Senior Vice President and established the China operations and managed half of the employees of Tektronix in a wide variety of operations. Dave retired after 38 years at Tektronix, 13 of which were at Wilsonville.
