Tektronix offered several different versions of their Scope Class of which the first was offered in May 1952. This Transformer School predates the Scope Class as described in this February 1952 TekTalk.

We know of one other Transformer Class which was offered in 1983.  Bob Cogan, along with other transformer engineers taught the classes based on their specialties.  They covered many types of transformers, such as 50-60 Hz power, high voltage, and high frequency  for switching power supplies.  They also taught how to use  the computer design programs as well.

Similar to the Gordon Sloat classes they also assigned homework problems to the students.  They reviewed and compared all the student’s designs as it was interesting to see how they made different choices for their final product.
