Video and Networking Division (VND)was formed by reorganizing Network Displays, Grass Valley Group, and the Profile Video Recorder group to leverage video, networking, computing, and storage competencies to address the emerging video streaming market. At the end of 1999, VND was closed with portions spun off to other entities.

The manufacturing line in Beaverton produced the Network Display X terminals and the Profile Video Disk Recorder. It was quite an advanced manufacturing line and the production manager made a video tour of the line on June 12, 1999 as production was beginning to close down.
