The museum hosted a STEM event for twenty 6 to 10 year old students from the ASA Oregon Sports and Academic summer camp. Volunteer Gary Johnson provided an overview of the museum and provided a hands-on exploration of electronic components.

We then divided the students into four groups and rotated them through our hands-on demonstrations.  Volunteers were Dave Brown, Chris Curtin, Pat Green, Gary Johnson, and Bob Puckette. The demonstrations consisted of our LCD/Microscope, 4052 Computer Graphics, Sound & Waves, and LED Instrumentation which are always a hit with students.

We received this thank-you email and card.

Dear VintageTek Team,
On behalf of all of us at ASA, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for hosting our campers yesterday. The hands-on exhibits and the engaging stories behind the technology made a lasting impression on our group. It was inspiring to see the kids so curious and excited to learn!

We truly appreciate the time and energy your volunteers put into creating such a welcoming and educational environment. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for giving our campers such a meaningful experience. We hope to visit again in the future and continue exploring the wonders of technology with you.

Warmest thanks,
American Sports Academy
