Newberg School District STEM
As a follow-on to our Dundee Elementary School STEM we are working with the Newberg School District. They wanted some examples of product design that the students could explore. One of our STEM events at our Valley Catholic School STEM event was a "lunchbox" Oscilloscope breakdown event which gave the students a hands-on experience with manufacturing assembly of components and modules in an oscilloscope.
The museum worked with RAMS (Recycling and Material Salvage which is next door to the museum) to collect a group of smaller oscilloscopes, disable the power connector so they could not be operated, and facilitated donation to the Newberg School District. Volunteer Gary Johnson delivered them to the District office.
The museum also donated a box of Torq drivers for the students.
