We hosted students from the Atlas Immersion Academy at the museum on two different days. July 16th were students from their Gabriel Park/Portland location and July 21st were students from their Silicon Forest/Beaverton-Hillsboro location. We began with students in the classroom for an introduction to electronics and hands-on examination of various electronic components and modules. We then divided them into smaller groups for a hands-on demonstration of our various STEM exhibits.
Volunteers Dave Brown, Chris Curtin, Bob Dexter, Pat Green, and Gary Johnson participated. Our STEM exhibits consisted of our color/microscope/LCD, the 4052 graphics computer, sound and waves, and the LED/digitization exhibits. This photo shows volunteer Gary Johnson welcoming the students to the museum.
