4112A comes to the vintageTEK museum
The 4110 series was an intelligent family of terminals introduced in 1981 that added segment capability to Tek Graphics. They would fully emulate the 4010/4014 family. Segments allowed you to define a graphic object or string and display it. Rather than going back to the host to redraw, you could change the viewport to zoom and pan and it would do so from the stored data. The 4114 was a DVST and the other initial members in the family were the 4012 monochrom raster, 4013 color raster, and 4115 high resolution color with auto convergence.

We were contacted by Mike about a donation of a 4112A. Mike acquired the 4112A from a friend who acquired it from a high school. The 4112A first appeared in the 1983 catalog at a price of $9,600.
Mike lives in Minnesota and we advertised in our newsletter for anyone travelling back from Minnesota who could transport it to the museum. We had no responses. Mike and Kate decided to just drive out to the museum to deliver this 4112A. We are eternally grateful for their generosity and their 3.400 mile trip.
