Tektronix began selling through distributors. They soon moved to direct sales through Tektronix Field Engineers in local Field Offices. The 1954 Tektronix Catalog identifies five Field Offices.

By the next year, the 1955 catalog identifies seven.

The network of Tektronix Field Offices soon grew world-wide. Warranty and out of warranty repair plus calibration was done in some Field Offices by a skilled group of factory trained Field Maintenance Engineers.
