The vintageTEK museum participated in the November 2, 2024 Girl Scout STEM day in Salem at Chemeketa Community College. This event gets larger every year with over 1800 girls registered.
The museum exhibit consisted of our Oscilloscope Table Tennis, Oscilloscope Artist, MSO 4104 oscilloscope with a microphone and our multi-sensor exhibit, LED demonstration, and a 4052 with the Instant Art program. This is a long event so this year we had a morning and afternoon shift of volunteers. In the morning our volunteers were Dave Brown, Gary Johnson, Bob Oblack, and Pat Green.
The afternoon shift consisted of Phil Crosby, Andrew Meier, Chris Curtin, and Pat Green.
Our exhibit was very popular and had excited and engaged Girl Scouts of all ages all day.
We also received this nice thank you card. This is a fun event for the museum, and having two shifts really helped. We know we engaged with a large number of students and introduced them to a wide range of technologies and experience.
