The vintageTEK museum participated in the OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) Science Festival. The Science Festival is a fun, interactive, and engaging week-long celebration of science! It highlights STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and takes science learning out into the community. It includes include five days of events in the Portland Metro area.

The museum hosted 6 tours during the week. We advertised this with "If you use a computer or the internet, watch TV or make use of wireless technology, join us for a tour of the museum on the Tektronix campus in Beaverton. Learn the history and see the technology of an Oregon company that has been at the forefront of the electronics revolution since its founding in 1946."

There were three one-hour tours on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Time: 4:00-5:00pm; 5:30-6:30pm; 7:00-8:00pm.

and three one-hour tours on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
Time: 3:00-4:00pm; 4:30-5:30pm; 6:00-7:00pm.

Since the museum has limited space, we limited the tours to 14 visitors for each tour and had an on-line registration form.

The event was successful with 39 visitors. Volunteers Chris Curtin and Pat Green hosted the tours on the 10th and Dave Brown and Gary Johnson hosted on the 12th. Here are some of the visitors.
