Sony/Tektronix History
With the help of a few ex-Tek and ex-Sony/Tektronix employees who have graciously provided information, photos, and scans, we now have a fairly complete page on Sony/Tek history. It is located under "Information and Resources">"Locations and Subsidiaries">"Tektronix Locations">"Sony/Tektronix".
Under "Information and Resources">"Articles" there is a page for "Memories Of Gotemba" which includes a scanned booklet commemorating the 30th anniversary of the manufacturing site.
Also under "Information and Resources">"Articles" there is a page for "30th Anniversary of Sony/Tek" which includes a scanned booklet which is very large so is divided into 6 sections for viewing.
On our News Blog is a page for the 2024 Sony/Tek-Tek/Japan reunion.
If you have any additional photos, documents, videos, or information on Sony/Tek please contact the museum. Our email is on our home page.
Enjoy!
Interesting story, in the early days of Sony-Tek I had contact with Fumihiro Nakamura and named our first cat after him, shortly “Fumi”. The vintageTek website has made a lot of progress the last month and good to see all the info about the former oversees subsidiaries. Still have some wishes: 1. a Facebook Group or Page for discussion. 2. a Search function on the website.
Keep on with the good work, Gerrit de Vries ex employee Tektronix Holland.
