“Gale Morris Signature Model” 205 Scope-Mobile
Gale Morris was the first industrial design engineer hired in 1958 at Tektronix. One of his first projects was to redesign the Type 500 Scope-Mobile into something more functional and aesthetically pleasing. The result was the award winning Type 200 Scope-Mobile (more information can be found on our Scope Carts page). Gale also recreated the Tektronix 7000 Series Industrial Design New Gen slide show video found on our Video Gallery page.
The museum has sold excess Type 200 Scope-Mobiles on local-pickup only from the museum due to their size and weight. The museum decided to offer a special Type 200 series Scope-Mobile on eBay commemorating Gale's award winning design.
Gale provided his signature which is applied as a decal to the front.
The museum does not charge for tours or special events and operates solely by the support of volunteers, contributions, and modest eBay sales such as this Scope-Mobile. We don't know how many of these we might offer for sale so don't delay if you want one of these one-of-a-kind Scope-Mobiles. Check our eBay store for availability.
